EP-2CM-1 Ready-to-Run Distributor for Ford 351 Windsor V8 (Electronic Ignition)

The EP-2CM-1 is a Ready-to-Run electronic distributor for the Ford 351 Windsor — one of the most durable and long-lived Ford V8 engines ever produced, continuously manufactured from 1969 through the late 1990s and found across Mustangs, Torinos, F-series trucks, and large Ford sedans. The 351W is beloved in the Ford performance community for its robustness and broad aftermarket support, and electronic ignition conversion is the single most cost-effective reliability upgrade for points-equipped Windsor engines.

The EP-2CM-1 is specifically dimensioned for the 351 Windsor's shaft depth, which differs from both the 289/302 small block and the 351 Cleveland. Installing a distributor designed for a different Ford engine will result in incorrect shaft depth and unreliable ignition timing. The EP-2CM-1 replaces points and condenser with a maintenance-free magnetic pickup, adds an internal electronic module for consistent ignition signal, and provides an adjustable mechanical advance for timing curve customization.

Two-wire installation eliminates the multi-wire Duraspark harness. The EP-2CM-1 is compatible with any standard 12-volt external ignition coil, giving the builder freedom to choose coil performance to match the application.
