The EP-10-V6 is a complete HEI distributor for General Motors V6 engines derived from the small block and big block V8 architecture used in Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles from the late 1970s through the 1980s. GM's V6 engines of this era — particularly the 229 and 262 cubic inch variants — shared the same basic block architecture and distributor drive system as the SBC V8, making the HEI V6 distributor a natural companion to the V8 HEI range.

The EP-10-V6 provides the same performance benefits as the V8 variants: a 65,000-volt coil replacing the lower-output factory coil, brass cap terminals for superior arc erosion resistance, and an adjustable vacuum advance canister for tuning part-throttle timing. V6 applications in G-body GM vehicles — Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino — are particularly popular in the restomod and fuel economy conversion community, where the lightweight V6 with improved HEI ignition delivers a useful balance of performance and economy.
