The EP-1831 is a complete electronic distributor for the Buick Roadmaster and Cadillac Fleetwood equipped with the 5.7L V8 engine for the 1991-1993 model years. The Buick Roadmaster was revived in 1991 as the flagship full-size Buick, using the GM B-body platform and the 5.7L V8 in traditional rear-wheel-drive configuration -- a combination that made it one of the last traditional American full-size cars. The 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham uses a closely related 5.7L application.

The Roadmaster's 5.7L V8 uses a conventional magnetic-pickup EFI distributor rather than the LT1 Optispark system used in the Camaro and Corvette of the same era.
