The EP-302HEA-2 is a complete HEI distributor for the Ford 351 Windsor — one of the most durable and popular Ford V8 engines ever produced, powering Mustangs, Torinos, and F-series trucks from 1969 through the late 1990s. The 351W is a beloved engine in the Ford performance community for its broad power potential and excellent aftermarket support, and HEI ignition conversion has become increasingly popular as a simplification and performance upgrade for these engines.

The 351 Windsor has a longer distributor shaft than the 289/302 small block, requiring a specific distributor designed for the Windsor deck height. The EP-302HEA-2 is dimensioned specifically for the 351W to ensure correct rotor-to-cap terminal geometry and proper drive gear mesh at the camshaft. Installing a 302-dimensioned distributor in a 351W application results in incorrect shaft depth and potential timing instability.
