EP-606 Electronic Distributor for Ford 6CYL EA EB Australian CFI Injection

The EP-606 is a complete electronic distributor specifically for the Ford EA and EB Falcon 6-cylinder in CFI (Central Fuel Injection) configuration only. CFI is Ford's throttle-body style injection system where a single injector feeds all cylinders, as opposed to MPI (Multi-Point Injection) where each cylinder has its own injector. The EP-606 is calibrated for the CFI sensor interface and is not suitable for MPI applications.

The EA Falcon was introduced with CFI as the initial EFI option, with MPI becoming available as a higher-specification option and becoming standard on later EB and ED models. Identifying whether your EA/EB Falcon has CFI or MPI is important for selecting the correct distributor -- the EP-606 (CFI only) or EP-605 (CFI and MPI both covered).

CFI can be identified by the throttle body on the inlet manifold having a single injector assembly. MPI has individual injectors visible at each intake port on the cylinder head.
