EP-440M Ready-to-Run Distributor for Chrysler Dodge Mopar 413 426 440 Big Block V8

The EP-440M is a Ready-to-Run electronic distributor for Chrysler's legendary RB big block V8 family -- the 413, 426 Wedge, and 440 cubic inch engines that defined Mopar performance in the muscle car era. The 440 Six Pack and 426 Wedge engines powered the Dodge Charger, Road Runner, and Super Bee to some of the most celebrated drag strip performances of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and these engines remain among the most revered and actively driven classic American V8s.

The EP-440M replaces the original points ignition -- or the later Chrysler electronic ignition systems -- with a maintenance-free magnetic pickup and internal electronic module. The adjustable mechanical advance is particularly important for RB big block engines, which benefit significantly from precise timing curve control given their large displacement and high torque output. The vacuum advance canister restores part-throttle efficiency for street-driven builds.

Important fitment note: the EP-440M fits the 426 Wedge engine but NOT the 426 Hemi. The 426 Hemi uses a completely different, dual-point distributor with unique geometry that is not compatible with this unit. For 426 Hemi applications, a Hemi-specific distributor is required.
