The EP-440B is a CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum Pro Billet distributor for Chrysler's legendary RB big block V8 family -- the 413, 426 Wedge, and 440 cubic inch engines that defined the pinnacle of Mopar muscle car performance. The 440 Six Pack with three Holley two-barrel carburetors and the 426 Wedge Cobra are among the most storied high-performance engines of the classic American muscle era, and serious builds on these platforms demand the precision of billet ignition hardware.

Small-diameter billet housing is a standard feature of the EP-440B, following the Chrysler 426/440 Pro-Billet convention established by MSD: the small diameter housing allows the distributor to fit tight block and head combinations that arise in serious 440 and 426 builds with large-port cylinder heads, Edelbrock or Indy big block heads, and B1-derived casting modifications. The tight clearances common in competition-level Mopar big block configurations make the small-diameter billet housing a practical necessity rather than just an aesthetic upgrade.

Important: the EP-440B fits the 426 Wedge engine but NOT the 426 Hemi. The Hemi uses an entirely different dual-point distributor design with unique geometry. For 426 Hemi applications, a Hemi-specific distributor is required. The EP-440B requires an external ignition box and external coil.
