EP-1639 Electronic Distributor for Chevrolet P30 Van 4.3L V6 (Replaces 1103884)

The EP-1639 is a complete electronic distributor for the Chevrolet P30 step van and forward control chassis equipped with the 4.3L V6 engine. The P30 is GM's purpose-built step van and delivery vehicle chassis, used extensively for postal service delivery vehicles, beverage distribution trucks, and motorhome chassis applications. The 4.3L V6 in P30 applications logs extremely high mileage in commercial service, making distributor replacement a routine maintenance item for fleet operators.

The GM 4.3L V6 used in P30 applications is related to the Vortec V6 used in consumer trucks and SUVs but the P30 chassis application has specific requirements related to the engine management configuration for commercial vehicle use.
