TF090 Series High Precision Planetary Gearbox Helical Gear Reducer, also known as servo motor planetary gearbox and low backlash planetary gearbox, is a high-precision device that is used for power transmission and torque amplification. Basic Construction

The High Precision Planetary Gearbox consists of several main components:

• Sun Gear: located at the center of the gearbox, usually connected to the input shaft or fixed to the housing as a stationary component
• Planet Gears: rotate around the sun gear and are supported and maintained in their relative positions by the planet carrier. Each planet gear meshes with the sun gear and the ring gear

Working Principle

The High Precision Planetary Gearbox works by:

• Transmitting and amplifying torque: when power is transmitted from the input shaft to the sun gear, the sun gear starts to rotate, and the planet gears mesh with the sun gear and the ring gear, resulting in both rotation and revolution. Because multiple sets of planet gears act together, the load of the entire system is evenly distributed, significantly increasing the output torque for torque amplification
• Controlling speed and gear ratio: by adjusting the gear ratio of the sun gear, planet gears, and ring gear, the speed relationship between the input and output can be precisely controlled. For example, if there are more planet gears or the difference in the number of teeth between the sun gear and the ring gear is greater, the gear ratio increases, the output speed decreases, and the torque increases accordingly
• Low backlash characteristics: the High Precision Planetary Gearbox is designed to reduce or eliminate the backlash between gears. This is usually achieved through precision machining, preloading technology, and component selection to ensure high motion accuracy and smoothness under any load
• Dynamic response and stability: due to the even load distribution and multiple contact points, the planetary gearbox can provide excellent dynamic performance, including rapid response, stable operation, and durability under heavy loads
