EP-10-6B HEI Distributor for Jeep AMC 292 V6 Engines (Replaces 5232527)

The EP-10-6B is an HEI distributor for Jeep and AMC vehicles equipped with the 292 cubic inch V6 engine. The AMC 292 V6 was used in the Jeep Gladiator J-series truck and early Wagoneer, representing an earlier era of Jeep powertrains before the AMC inline-six family became the standard. The 292 V6 is a relatively rare engine in today's collector market, and quality replacement ignition components have become increasingly difficult to source through conventional channels.

Converting the AMC 292 V6 to HEI ignition follows the same logic as other AMC conversions — stronger spark, simplified wiring, elimination of points adjustment — with the added benefit that the modern HEI electronics are more tolerant of the vibration and temperature extremes that early Jeep trucks routinely encountered in agricultural and light commercial service.
