The EP-10 is the blue cap version of the standard Chevrolet HEI distributor, electrically identical to the red cap EP-10C but finished in vibrant blue for builders coordinating their underhood presentation with blue valve covers, blue engine paint, or custom color schemes. Blue HEI components have become a signature look in the custom truck and street rod community, where color coordination under the hood is as important as the mechanical specification of the components.

Like the red EP-10C, the EP-10 covers the complete Chevrolet small block (262-400 CID) and big block (396-454 CID) V8 families with the same 65,000-volt coil, brass cap terminals, and adjustable vacuum advance canister.
