• USAGE





1. Chip off the base metal completely at the repairing part.


2. There is a possibility that cracks spread or make holes at both ends of the repairing part.


3. Keep the weld metal length less than 50mm (2 inches) to disperse welding heat. Adopt back stepping stone or symmetry method by turns.


4. The preheat temperatures vary in accordance with the size, kind, and shape of the base metal. 150°C (302°F) is appropriate in general.

• ENi-CI (99%NI) is a graphite type coated electrode that deposits nickel weld metal. It is suitable for common cast iron and parts with easy machining of the welds. It can be used for repairing cast iron and joining various kinds of cast iron products, such as cylinder covers, motor beds, casings, and gears. It is also suitable for repairing meehanite, alloy, and malleable cast iron.


• ENiFe-CI (55%NI) is a covered electrode with a graphite type coating flux and a 55% Ni-fe alloy core rod. It has excellent crack resistibility and is suitable for welding normal grades of cast iron, such as gray, ductile, and malleable irons. It is commonly used for repairing cast iron housings, blocks, machinery parts, and frames.
