Sun Gear

Planet Gears

Planet Carrier

Torque Transfer and Amplification

When power is transferred from the input shaft to the Sun Gear, the Sun Gear starts to rotate. Due to the simultaneous meshing of the Planet Gear with the Sun Gear and the Ring Gear, they begin to revolve and rotate. The load of the entire system is evenly distributed due to the action of multiple sets of Planet Gears, which significantly increases the torque at the output end, achieving torque amplification.

Speed and Transmission Ratio Control

By adjusting the tooth number ratio of the Sun Gear, Planet Gear, and Ring Gear, the speed relationship and transmission ratio between the input and output can be precisely controlled. For example, if there are many Planet Gears or the difference in the number of teeth between the Sun Gear and Ring Gear is large, the transmission ratio increases, the output speed decreases, and the torque increases accordingly.

Low Backlash Characteristics
