Single direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer, and a ball and cage assembly. The bearings are not self-retaining; the ball, cage assembly, and bearing washers can be fitted separately. Depending on their series and size, thrust ball bearings are equipped with one of the cages, like sheet steel cages or Solid brass window cages.
