FRP Manhole Cover Weight

Glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) covers are made using unsaturated polyester resin as the matrix of a fiber-reinforced thermosetting composite material. This type of cover, also known as a regiment shape mold plastic, is produced through pressure molding technology. FRP covers are considered a new environmentally friendly power cover plate.

With high-temperature and high-pressure once molding technology, FRP covers have high degrees of polymerization, density, impact resistance, and tensile strength. They are wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, rust-free, non-polluting, and require no maintenance. Additionally, they have the following characteristics:

1. High strength: can bear a maximum weight of 600 kg.
2. Long service life: can last up to 50 years in backlighting places and 20 years in areas with adequate lighting.
3. Corrosion resistance: particularly suitable for use in damp, salt fog, acid, and alkali environments.
4. Good electrical insulation: insulation resistance exceeds 1000G, and the surface resistance is not less than 10G.
5. Convenient installation: can be correctly installed or anchored.
6. Fire prevention: oxidation properties make them fire-resistant.

FRP manhole covers also possess the following properties: slip resistance, impact resistance, light weight, UV protection, easy maintenance, easy fabrication, cost-effectiveness, aesthetic appeal, and a wide range of mesh sizes and thicknesses.
