Overview
TRE042 Series High Precision Planetary Gearbox Right Angle Reducer, also known as servo motor planetary gearbox and low backlash planetary gearbox, is a high precision gearbox commonly used in industrial automation equipment. Basic Structure

Sun Gear
Located at the center of the planetary gearbox, the sun gear is usually connected to the input shaft or fixed on the housing as a stationary component.
Planet Gears
The planet gears revolve around the sun gear and mesh with the internal ring gear/annulus. They are supported and maintained in relative position by the planet carrier.
Planet Carrier

Working Principle
Torque Transmission and Amplification
When power is transmitted from the input shaft to the sun gear, the sun gear begins to rotate. The planet gears mesh with the sun gear and the internal ring gear/annulus, and they start to revolve and rotate. Due to the combined action of multiple planet gears, the load of the entire system is evenly distributed, which significantly increases the output torque and achieves torque amplification.
Speed and Transmission Ratio Control
By adjusting the gear ratio of the sun gear, planet gears, and internal ring gear/annulus, the speed relationship and transmission ratio between the input and output can be precisely controlled. For example, if there are more planet gears or the difference in the number of teeth between the sun gear and internal ring gear/annulus is larger, the transmission ratio increases, the output speed decreases, and the torque increases accordingly.
Low Backlash Characteristics
High precision planetary gearbox pays special attention to reducing or eliminating the clearance between gears, known as "zero/low backlash." This is usually achieved through precision processing, preloading technology, and component selection, ensuring extremely high motion accuracy and smoothness under any load.
