Swapping from Right Hand to Left Hand Drive

HZPT slewing drives are usually imported and stocked with the motor mounted on the right-hand side. If requested, we can change the units to left-hand motor mounts before despatch, but this is easily accomplished in the field.

  1. Remove the four bolts holding the end caps onto the main housing.
  2. Remove the end caps., the seals, and the taper roller bearings cones.
  3. Gently remove the worm shaft - turning it will assist in this process
  4. Reverse and insert the worm shaft into the housing in the opposite orientation
  5. Replace the tapered roller bearing cones and seals. Replace the end caps.
  6. Check rotation by hand.
