The design of XR series crossed tapered roller bearings can provide higher rotation accuracy and rigidity in a smaller space and significantly save material costs. This type of bearing is to install two sets of bearing raceways and rollers crosswise at right angles. The adjacent rollers face in opposite directions. A spacer is established between the rollers, which are also equipped with support shims, which makes the two half rows of rollers fit into the same space. The included angle and tapered geometry of the bearing make the effective span of the bearing several times larger than the actual width of the bearing itself.

XR series crossed tapered roller bearings are similar to RB series crossed cylindrical roller bearings in structure. XR series has two separable outer rings or inner rings.XR series crossed tapered roller bearings are suitable for high-speed machine tool applications, such as vertical boring machines and grinders. It is also particularly suitable for many types of equipment with limited space and high requirements for rotation accuracy.

XR Series Crossed Tapered Bearing characteristics

1. High precision; High rigidity: these series bearings are with preload; High load capacity: can support radial, axial, and tilting loads.

2. High speed: rollers roll in the raceway, so the limited rate of crossed taper roller bearings is higher than that of crossed cylindrical roller bearings.

3. Low friction: the frictional torque of crossed tapered bearings is much lower than that of crossed cylindrical roller bearings.

Installation Procedure

3. Place the presser flange onto the crossed Roller bearing. Rock the flange several times to match the bolt holes.
