Shear Bolt Torque Limiter for PTO Shaft

The SB type shear bolt torque limiter is a device that interrupts power transmission when the transmitted torque exceeds a set value.
This power interruption is caused by the shearing of the bolt. This bolt must be replaced before power can be restored.
The use of a shear bolt torque limiter is recommended to avoid damage to the drive system of a machine mounted on a machine subjected to unexpected overloads or torque peaks.

Shear Bolt Torque Limiter Parameters

The torque setting of the shear bolt torque limiter is usually double or triple the intermediate torque M and must not exceed the maximum torque of the drive train. The standard settings for each size SFT driveline are shown in the table to the right. SB Torque Limiter of the PTO トラクタドライブシャフト sizes S1 through S4 have a pinned attachment to the spline shaft. Larger sizes use a tapered pin attachment.
