The EP-FD03 is a Duraspark electronic ignition distributor covering Ford Bronco with the 6.6L 400M V8 and Ford LTD with the 7.5L 460 V8 -- two significant classic Ford V8 applications from the mid-to-late 1970s Duraspark era. The Ford 400M and 460 are members of Ford's 385-series engine family, both using the same basic block architecture but in different displacement configurations.

The Ford Duraspark ignition system, introduced in 1975, replaced the contact-breaker points with an electronic magnetic pickup module system, providing more consistent ignition timing without the maintenance of adjusting points and condenser. The Cardone 30-2893 is the primary reference for this combined 400M/460 Duraspark application.

The Ford LTD with the 460 V8 was one of the last full-size American cars with a truly large displacement V8, and the second-generation Bronco with the 400M was a capable full-size off-road platform before the later 302/351W versions became the more common options.
